This Week Is Web 2.0 Expo!

Today I am heading out to Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco! The conference, co-produced by O’Reilly Media, Inc. and TechWeb, showcases the latest Web 2.0 business models, development paradigms and design strategies for the builders of the next-generation Web. To see what’s in store for the week, check out the Web 2.0 Expo‘s site for the full schedule, panelists, and so forth. I am attending Web 2.0 Expo for the purpose of seeing what is on the horizon for Web 2.0 business, networking and strengthening my relationships with individuals I have previously met who are involved in great projects in the 2.0 space. You will be able to check back here daily for what I have been up to during the conference, who is attending, how valuable sessions were, as well as takeaways for those of you who were not able to make it out.
Over the course of the week, I will be reporting back to you all on behalf of a handful of companies!
In addition to checking out my reports to you here, you will also be able to get daily recaps on the Wicked PR Blog. I’m a big fan of Wicked for a number of reasons. Of course, they’re originally from Atlanta which I always support! They are also a fantastic example of how traditional public relations can incorporate social media and online marketing on a whole into streamline integrated campaigns. While “PR” is part of their name, it does not just mean public relations to this agency. It is about getting the public to react. They want to tell a brand’s story, provoke and persuade people to respond. They craft this story and deliver it to target audiences both online and offline leveraging traditional PR, social media, search marketing, website development and design.
