My MacBook Pro is the third item in a series of electronics I will be auctioning off via my blog this week to earn enough money to pay for my round-the-world plane fare! First thing’s first: The battery is mostly dead. The computer is in perfect working condition besides this! You’ll just need to either buy a replacement or leave it plugged into the wall. (Buying a replacement is worth it.) They run about $120 for Apple brand and much cheaper for third-party brands. It is not the most recent MacBook Pro. I have had this computer since February 2008 and was the second owner.
15″ MacBook Pro Specifications
- Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
- Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
- Hard Drive 200GB Serial ATA Drive
- Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 256MB
- Optical Drive 8x SuperDrive
Additional Information
- If you missed it the first time, again, the battery is mostly dead so you will need to buy a replacement battery or leave it plugged in.
- Includes TWO wall chargers, one with an extension. Great for leaving one at office and one at home! These cost about $80 each so this is quite the sweetener to this deal!
- I have a protective sticker on it right now (where I adorned it with my social media, etc stickers). I can either leave this for you or remove it. It leaves no residue. Your choice.
- The sale of this MBP will help me be able to buy my plane fare! (Thank you, thank you, thank you.)
- I am available to deliver the laptop within a 30 minute radius of Downtown Atlanta. I will ship to anyone else, at an additional expense to you.
Please only serious bidders. The auction will run until 6pm on Thursday, May 19 and payment is due by the end of the day Friday, May 20. Bidding will be conducted via blog comments and requires your email address. I will contact the highest bidder at 6pm on Thursday, May 19 to notify the winner and arrange delivery/payment.
Thank you for adopting my MacBook Pro and please take good care of him. He’s a tough one. And thank you for helping me get around the world! (Forgive my blurry photo!)

Howdy! Does this come with the installation DVDs? What about a remote?
Consider this an opening bid of $400.
I do not have the installation discs unfortunately. I can give you a white Apple remotes with it!
