Wish I could make it up to NYC this week for the inaugural Social Media Week NY! It aims to create an open and inclusive environment offering a series of free events, including workshops and panel discussions, and a platform for individuals, group and companies to organize their own activities. The week’s activities have been designed to bring together the NYC community and draw attention to the incredible talent, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that continues to grow in this city.

Examples of some of the events being thrown in association with SMW:

FYI’s “Social Entertainment”

Social media allows you to grow a dynamic community around your videos and to build your audience and your video views. The panel of experts will walk you through where to start, best practices and success stories to help video content producers and distributors maximize the effectiveness of social media in growing their web video views.
