Verizon Marketing Stunt at Piedmont Park in Atlanta

July 22nd, 2008 Posted in Atlanta, Technology

I honestly can’t tell if they hired actors to do this or not.  If so, they did a stellar job!

Rumor has it, this was staged.  You might recognize Chris of Dad’s Garage improv theater in the green t-shirt meeting the gentleman being followed by The Network.

Great idea and the video was well done.
- The message and image parallels that of the brand’s advertising.
- The random public audience provided a means for buzz among current customers and those Verizon would like to acquire.
- The method/style in which they filmed the stunt looks like a random person in the park happened upon the event and was attempting to document it via some variety of consumer video electronic, giving the stunt greater believability.
